We collaborated with an Arita ware pottery studio.

Hello! This is THE MATCHA CLUB.

We have started a project in collaboration with "Densaku Kiln" of Arita ware,

to enjoy organic matcha in an original Tenmoku-style chawan (tea bowl).

Arita Ware Collaboration Project: Enjoy Kirishima organic matcha in a Tenmoku-style matcha bowl while experiencing the history of tea.

Speaking of Tenmoku chawan, the "Yuteki Tenmoku Chawan," designated as a National Treasure of Japan,

is famous as the king of tea utensils during the Southern Song dynasty.

Its form and glaze are said to be impossible to replicate even today.

In this project, artisans developed a unique Tenmoku chawan from scratch

to make it more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

While adhering to tradition, the tea utensil has a sophisticated and modern design with excellent functionality.

The polarizing mica on the exterior gives it a渋い (subdued, sophisticated) luster,

and the special glaze on the interior

makes it easy to create froth.

This tea utensil, named "Tenmoku-style Matcha Bowl,"

is perfect for formal use, and also an excellent item for casual use,

such as enjoying a matcha latte.

It pairs perfectly with THE MATCHA CLUB's stick matcha,

which you can enjoy in your own free style.

It is sure to become your staple item for enjoying matcha

with modern creativity while appreciating the history of tea.

The project launched today on the crowdfunding platform "Makuake,"

so please check it out!
